GUIDANCE NEWS

  • Seniors-A representative from Thomas College will be in the Guidance Office TODAYat 11:00 am. Sign up in Guidance.
  • Juniors-the Portland Seadogs are hosting a College Fair and Baseball game on May 4th. Chance to win a $500 scholarship during the 5th inning. Contact the Sea Dogs ticket office to get 2 free tickets. FMI- See the Guidance Office
  • Sophomores - SRVC interviews will be held on Friday, March 24th at SRVC during the PM session. If interested, please submit your Field Trip permission form to the Guidance Office prior to March 24th.
  • Sophomores and Juniors-if you are interested in taking an on-line course next year through the University of Maine, see your guidance counselor. There are many interesting options.

    FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS will be held Tuesday, March 16th from 5:30-8:30 pm. Students in band, chorus, and drama will be performing and there will be ongoing displays and demonstrations from art students. All are welcome.

    SOPHOMORES please bring your pizza fundraising order forms to Mrs. Boisrond or Mr. Pagel in the SEP room on Monday, March 15th by the end of the day.

    YAADA- There will be a YAADA meeting on Wednesday, March 17th in rm. 218 @ 2:05. Spring Training will be on Friday, March 19th. Contact Mrs. Cotty for a permission slip.

    HAITI FUNDRAISER- The Civil Rights Team is collecting money for Haiti during lunch. FMI-See Ms. Cotty

    SELF DEFENSE- There will be a one-time Self Defense class for Senior Girls on Wednesday, March 24, 6-8 pm in the Gym. Sign up in the Main Office

    Mr WHS-The Mr. WHS competition will be held March 18th at 7:00 pm.

    NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH-March is National Nutrition Month. Choose a heart-healthy item from the menu and you might win a prize! Friday’s winners were :Abby Fenstermaker and Mike Burgess!

    COFFEE HOUSE- Interested performers need to attend practices for the next two Mondays (3/15, & 3/22) in room 304. FMI- See Ms. Baker

    FOOD DRIVE COLLECTION-Food Drive Competition to benefit York County Food Pantries. Any donation of a non-perishable food item will be accepted. The class with the most donations will win $250 for their class. Collections will continue through March 18th. FMI- see any Class Advisor

    ST. PATRICK’S DAY CARNATION SALE - Send your friends a“Bit O’Luck” by buying them a green carnation for $2 this week during all lunches. The carnations will be delivered on St. Patrick’s Day.

  • Intramurals- All intramural partipants are asked to fill out an online evaluation at www.whsintramurals.info. Do so and become eligible to win a DQ Blizzard!
